Sample daily products used by Americans - Made overseas
Sample daily products used by Americans - Made overseas
Here is an email I received which tells our story:
John Smith started the day early,
having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 am.
While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking,
he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG),
and put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA),
designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and
tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA).
After cooking his breakfast in his new
electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA),
he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO),
to see how much he could spend today.
After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN)
to the radio (MADE IN INDIA),
he got in his car (MADE IN JAPAN),
filled it with GAS (from SAUDIA ARABIA)
to continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.
At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day
checking his Computer (made in MALAYSIA),
John decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL),
poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE)
and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA),
and then wondered why he can't find
a good paying job in AMERICA.
And now he is hoping he can get help
from the president (MADE IN KENYA)?

How do you -- or any nation -- arrive at a point of financial breakdown? Does arrogant entitlement and over-extension beyond one's means resonate with today's news headlines?
Few Americans realize that when you shop at such stores as Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Kohl's, Home Depot and Target, you slit your neighbor's and your own financial throat. Read more...
"In order for America to remain truly competitive in a global economy, we must invest in our workforce to stimulate small business growth. Small businesses create two-thirds of all new jobs in this country, and the vast majority of them are paying their new workers higher than the minimum wage." ---Sen. John Kerry
'Made in America' just might save America
We're not trying to save the economy in one day... We are trying to save the economy through a thought process. It will take the effort of every American to look for the USA logo on all their purchases. We don't care what party you support. We want you to support local businesses with buying USA products. If it doesn't have the USA logo please leave it on the shelf. If you can't find the USA logo, do without. We are trying to get the American people to rely on each other to bring our industry back. It will take time and effort of everybody. We are hoping this will make everybody conscious of their purchases on a DAILY basis. Please consider supporting the companies that feel it is important to manufacture products in our country.
Your country needs you!
Yeah, and complain to the management, loudly, if what you are shopping for is NOT made in USA! If it IS made in USA, and does not have the logo, complain about this too!

"On the Plains of Hesitation,
bleach the bones of countless millions who,
at the dawn of victory,
sat down to wait,
and waiting,
died."
